Miiro is een app voor het hele huishouden. Partners delen een agenda, boodschappenlijst, takenlijst en weekmenu, en zien elkaars wijzigingen live. Sam, de AI-assistent in de app, spreekt Nederlands. Je spreekt in wat er in je hoofd zit en Sam maakt er orde van: afspraken in de gedeelde agenda, taken op de lijst, boodschappen op het lijstje. De boodschappenlijst bestelt ze echt: ze zoekt de producten en zet de volledige bestelling klaar bij Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Picnic, Plus of Crisp; jij rekent alleen nog af. Recepten sla je rechtstreeks op vanaf TikTok en Instagram, en het weekmenu zet de ingredienten op de boodschappenlijst.

Het verhaal

Robert Eekhoff bouwde Miiro voor zijn eigen gezin. Het huishouden draaide op zes losse apps en al het onthouden kwam bij een van beiden terecht. Miiro maakt dat onzichtbare regelwerk, de mental load, zichtbaar en deelbaar voor allebei. De naam komt van het Japanse miru, zien, en is een samenvoeging van de namen van Robert en zijn vrouw.

De takenlijst van een gezin staat nergens opgeschreven. Die zit in iemands hoofd, meestal in een hoofd. Dat wilde ik zichtbaar maken voor allebei. Robert Eekhoff

Short description

Miiro is an app for the whole household. Partners share a calendar, grocery list, task list and weekly meal plan, and see each other's changes live. Sam, the AI assistant inside the app, sorts what's on your mind: speak it in and events land on the shared calendar, tasks on the list, groceries on the grocery list. That grocery list she actually orders: she finds the products and stages the full order at Walmart or Kroger; you just confirm checkout. Recipes save straight from TikTok and Instagram, and the meal plan adds the ingredients to the grocery list.

The story

Robert Eekhoff built Miiro for his own family. The household ran on six separate apps, and all the remembering landed on one of the two. Miiro makes that invisible coordination, the mental load, visible and shareable for both. The name comes from the Japanese miru, to see, and is a blend of the names of Robert and his wife.

A family's to-do list is written down nowhere. It lives in someone's head, usually in one head. That is what I wanted to make visible for both of us. Robert Eekhoff
