The story

Why I built Miiro

Miiro comes from the Japanese word miru (見る) — to see.

I built it because my wife Mirrin and I kept dropping the ball on the little things. The groceries nobody bought. The kindergarten pickup we both showed up to. The "I thought you were handling that" moments.

The mental load wasn't shared — it was invisible.

Every task app out there was built for one person working alone. We needed something that let us see each other's day.

The name is personal: Mi (from Mirrin) + Ro (from Robert) = Miiro. It's the app I wished existed.

Yes. Every feature works on the free plan. You get 3 lists, 5 saved recipes, and sharing with 1 person. Miiro+ just gives you more of everything.

No. One Miiro+ subscription covers your whole household — up to 6 people. Your partner gets full access through Apple Family Sharing.

After 7 days, you'll be charged $2.99/month (or $24.99/year if you chose annual). You can cancel anytime in your iPhone Settings. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period.

Most major recipe sites — including BBC Good Food, RecipeTin Eats, Budget Bytes, Allrecipes, and many more. If a site has structured recipe data, Toru can extract it.

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase with encryption. We don't sell your data, don't show ads, and don't track your browsing. Read our full privacy policy.

Absolutely. Miiro works great for solo use too. Sharing is optional — you can keep all your lists private.
